Harold James (Jim) Buttery

Orange City, Florida - Jim was born in Battle Creek, Michigan May 19, 1932. He was the loving husband of Mary Buttery, father of Karen, and David and grandfather of Allie Brock (James) and Josh Buttery. Brother of Richard Buttery (Joan) and Robert Buttery (Deceased), as well as many nieces and nephews, and cousins and many Church and John Knox friends.

Jim was very proud of his military service in the United States Air Force from 1951-1954. Jim was decorated with the

Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal,

Korean Service Medal and UN Service Medal

Jim graduated with an BSEE degree at Tri-State University in 1958.

Jim went on to work in the Aerospace Industry from:

Goodyear Aircraft,

Martin Aircraft,

Lockheed Missile & Space Systems, and

Chrysler Space & Missile Systems at Cape Canaveral, Florida.

Including the Apollo Program at the Cape.

He then went on to work at Chrysler Automotive In Detroit MI until his retirement.

Jim & Mary enjoyed retirement living in Ormond Beach Florida for over 20 years.

They had recently moved to John Knox Independent Living in Orange City, Florida in 2017.

Funeral Service will be held at

St. James Episcopal Church - Ormond Beach, Florida.
