He was born March 31, 1940 in Manassas, Virginia and came to Brooksville 42 years ago. He served his country in the United States Marine Corps and he owned and operated his own fence installation business.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Linda Sue Cornwell; his brothers, Nicholas and Robert Cornwell; sister, Elizabeth Thompson. He is survived by his sons and daughter-in-law, Roy Cornwell Jr. of Brooksville, Florida and Troy & Jessica Cornwell of Senoia, Georgia; daughters and sons-in-law, Debora & Wes Brunson of Dallas, Texas and Brenda & Jayson Walsh of Orlando, Florida; brothers, Oden and Irvin Cornwell of Manassas, Virginia; sisters, Eulyn Thompson, Doris Jones, Barbara Knight, Gloria Puckett, and Senie O'Malley; six grandchildren.
He will be laid to rest with his beloved wife, Linda Sue Cornwell, at Brooksville Cemetery.
