Virginia "Kiki" Schroeder (Massengill ), Age 75, of Boone Grove, formerly of Merrillville, passed away Friday, September 20, 2013. Kiki loved sports of all kinds, but most of all tennis, and was an avid tennis player for many years. She also enjoyed golf and snowmobiling with her husband. She was a die-hard Bears and Cubs fan and rarely missed watching a game. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Vera Massengill and nephew Brian Massengill. She was the loving wife of 53 years to David Schroeder, who survives. She is also survived by her sons, Brent and Scott; brother Jerry Massengill; sisters-in-law, Karen (Don) Schmidt and Terryl (Peter) Hirsh; niece, Shelly (Scott) Shabaz; nephews, Steven Hirsh and Craig Massengill. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Tuesday, September 24, 2013, from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Burns Funeral Home, 10101 Broadway, Crown Point. Funeral services will be offered on Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at the Burns Funeral Home and will end at the funeral home.
