Louie was born June 4, 1931, in Colton, CA to Manuel and Louisa Ariaz.
He served in the Navy during the Korean War as a barber. Upon his honorable discharge on June 3, 1954, he moved to Chicago to attend a trade school for the tool & die industry. During this time, he met his wife, Doris Golden Ariaz, who preceded him in death. He later married Barbara Smith Ariaz who is also deceased.
Louie loved gardening, building and fixing things, politics, and hiking. He was always ready to get into a political conversation and just might end up passing on some of his political books, magazines, or DVDs to educate the listener to his way of thinking!
He was a Christian man who loved God and taught his children well and encouraged them to be faithful followers of God. He is a member of The Church at Grace Park where he attended faithfully.
Louie is survived by his children, Barry Ariaz, Cheryl (Neill) Wicker, and Leah (Brian) Waite; Siblings, Gloria Espudo and Lucia Chavez; and grandchildren, Barry Ariaz, Jr., Alicha Ariaz, Amanda Ariaz, Miranda McEntire (Braxton), Selina Waite, and Devon Waite.
