Age 51, died Saturday, January 05, 2008. Mrs. Ruhf was born February 12, 1956 in Lansing, the daughter of Martin and Esther Shellito. She is survived by her husband, Earl; children, Eric (Ashley) Ruhf of Lansing, and Daniel (Jackie) Ruhf of California; 4 grandchildren, Brendon, Collin, Kaydence, Sebastian and the 5th grandchild is expected in March; sisters, Mary Stampski, Marjorie Christle, Janet (Dan) Donovon, all of Lansing, and Donna Morgan of Charlotte; and brother, Marvin (Melvia) Shellito of Houghton Lake. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Martin. Katy was very proud to be a volunteer at school covering many positions with various teachers, and special ed. Aide. She loved to crochet and do craft projects, and her biggest gift was that she loved to help others. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 9, 2008 at Church of Jesus Christ of LDS with President Dave Judd officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday 9:30-10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in Benton Township Cemetery. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association. Arrangements by Pray Funeral Home, Charlotte. Katy-11 Mae was the daughter of Martha-10 Esther Warner and her husband Martin Kenneth "Marty" Shellito, Sr.

Katy married Earl Ruhf in 1976.

2 RUHF children:

1. Eric B-1981; m. Ashley Sprunger, reside in Lansing, Ingham, MI.

2. Daniel B-19??; m. Jackie (_), reside in CA.

Four grandchildren: Brenden, Collin, Kaydence, Sebastian and the 5th grandchild is expected in March.

Katy was survived by her sisters, Mary (Shellito) Webb-Stampski, Marjorie (Shellito) Christle, Janet (Shellito) (Dan) Donovon, all of Lansing, and Donna (Shellito) Morgan of Charlotte, MI; and brother Marvin (Melvia) Shellito Sr. of Houghton Lake MI.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Martin Jr.

Katy was very proud to be a volunteer at school, covering many positions with various teachers, and to be a special ed. aide.

She loved to crochet and do craft projects, and her biggest gift was that she loved to help others.
