Robert James Klein, age 76, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, 20 August 1997. Bob was an avid fisherman, gardener, and Packer fan. His mother, Elsie, founded Klein's Bakery on State Street, in Madison, Wisconsin in 1936, which Bob later owned and operated for 30 years. He also faithfully served his country with the United States Army Air Force during WWII in the South Pacific. Father, companion and friend, his easy manner, humor and sharp wit will be sorely missed. At the time of his death Bob was survived by his loving wife of 51 years Mae (nee McMicken) Klein of Oregon & Madison, Wisconsin; two sons, Terry of Waukesha, Wisconsin; R. Joseph Klein of Madison; two daughters, Cheryl McLeod of Crivitz, Wisconsin and Nancy [Duaine] Boehnen of Cross Plains, Wisconsin. Bob is further survived by five grandchildren, a great grandchild and very special friends of the family, Clifford and Ruth Kay and Frank and Ila Wermuth. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Bob's birthday, August 23rd, 1997 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Madison, Wisconsin with Fr. Kieffer officiating. Bob is interred at Sunset Memory Gardens.
