Doreen Doty, 80, of Brighton, Colorado, entered the gates of heaven from her home on May 21, 2022. Doreen Nettie Mowrey was born in Denver, Colorado, on January 16, 1942, and was the youngest of two children born to Nettie Baker and Sammy Mowrey. Doreen grew up in Derby, Colorado, where she met the love of her life, Ed Doty, in 1957, and the two married on May 25, 1958. They built a house in Brighton, Colorado, in 1963 where they raised their four children and resided for 52 years.

Doreen loved to bowl, travel, shop, and decorate her home each holiday, right down to her Easter tree. She loved her coffee, doing crossword puzzles, watching game shows, cookies, and Dum Dums. Most importantly, Doreen loved her husband, Ed, of 63 years, and her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Doreen is survived by her son Mik Doty, her three daughters, Lynda (Hans) Brewster, Tina Gutierrez, Susan (Jaime) Chavez, 14 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, brother Kenny Mowrey, and her nieces and nephew. Doreen is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ed, infant daughter, Cindy Doty, nephew, Bob Townsend, grandson Richard Lambert, and daughter-in-law CJ Doty.
