Former N.Y.C. Engineer Dies
E. D. Alexander Rites on Monday

Edwin D. Alexander, retired Ne York Central Railroad engineer, died at his home, 225 Ashdale Avenue, Saturday afternoon. He was 75 years old. A former resident of East Syracuse, Mr. Alexander served as village trustee and on the Board of Education. He was a member of Onondaga Lodge, 802, Free and Accepted Masons, and of Division 288, Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers. Survivors are a son, Lee Alexander of Syracuse; a daughter, Mrs. Robert Dunn of Duluth, Minn.; two sisters, Miss Catherine Alexander of Butte, Mont., and Mrs. Stanley Reynolds of Factoryville, Pa., and a brother, Frank E. Alexander of Butte. Private funeral services will be held from the funeral home of Delaney& Hodge, East Syracuse, Monday at 2 P.M., with the Rev. Isaac C. Swift, pastor emeritus of First Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will be in North Syracuse.
