Mr. Duff was a retired train conductor for Illinois Central Railroad. He was a member of North Baton Rouge Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ella Forman Duff; his parents, Van Duff and Hattie Patt Duff; his foster parents, Edward and Willie Patt; and three brothers.

He was survived by two sons, James H. Duff of Baton Rouge, LA, and Grady Duff, Jr. and wife Linda of La Place, LA; three daughters, Janet Blake and husband Bill, Helen Dolores Degruy and husband T. G., and Margaret Keel and husband Edward, all of Baton Rouge; 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
