Barney, Jane L. 6/15/1914 - 7/7/2018 Ann Arbor Jane Lockwood Barney, 104, of Ann Arbor, MI, died peacefully in her sleep on July 7, 2018. Jane was a loving wife and mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, accomplished gerontologist, leading advocate for the poor and the underrepresented, local Democratic Party official, and devoted friend to many. Murphy, grandchildren Adam Aronow, Roger Aronow (Mary Beth Aronow), Paul Barney (Marion Finnegan), Ross Barney (Ann Atwood), great-grandson John Lockwood Barney, step-grandson Thomas Bisbee, and numerous nieces and nephews. Her husband Roger W. Barney and son Jonathan L. Barney died before her. Funeral service: 10:30 am, Thursday, July 19, at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, 306 N. Division, Ann Arbor, MI 48104.
