Hiram S. Tallman, 75, a resident of Everett for many years, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Roy Cleveland, Saturday afternoon. Mr. Tallman was born at Stillwater, Minn., June 14, 1864. In addition to Mrs. Cleveland his is survived by three other daughters, Mrs. Paul Hinchcliffe of Everett, Mrs. Roswell Countryman of Selah, and Mrs. Frances Barclay of Payette, Idaho; two sons, Roy of Oakland, Calif. and Ralph of Camp Ord, Calif.; two brothers, Al of Seattle and Sylvester of High Point; four sisters, Mrs. Forrest Elwell of Mt. Vernon, Mrs. S. Pownall of Monroe, Mrs. George Davidson of Tolt and Mrs Al Whitehead of Stanwood; eleven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at Jerread's chapel Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. The Rev. E.M. Rogers of the Trinity Episcopal church will officiate and burial will be in the family plot in Evergreen cemetery.

Note: His death certificate states he died at the Northern State Hospital in Sedro-Woolley, not at his daughter's home. Hiram was the son of Stephen Ephraim and Amanda (Lawton) Tallman. He was preceded in death by his wife, Christine (Dahlgren) Tallman in 1918.

The tombstone is on the family plot but Hiram's name is not on it. The cemetery records show he is buried there.
