William M. Bond was born August 24 1854, and died June 27, 1935 at the home of a son near Neosho, at the age of 81 years, 10 months and 7 days.

He was married to Martha Elizabeth Lane, January 7, 1881. To this union 8 children were born, four boys and four girls.

He is survived by the four sons and three daughters, who are Bert Lee, of Houston, Texas, Thomas Leonard, of Neosho, William Theodore, of Neosho, James Oliver, of Neosho, Mrs. Ladue, of Neosho, Mrs. C. O. Richey, of Baxter Springs, Kansas, and Mrs. Lula Harmon, of Neosho; also two brothers, Robert and James, of Blanchard, Oklahoma.

He was preceded in death by his wife in April 1927, and one daughter, Anna B. Bond, 37 years ago.

Funeral services were conducted June 29 at 2 o'clock p.m. at the Liberty Baptist Church by the Reverend Milton Campbell of Granby. Burial was made in the Oak Wood cemetery, two miles west of McElhaney, by Pogue's Service.

William was a Farmer. He died at his home at 5 p.m. from Chronic Interstitual Nephritis.
