Steven Eric Flowers, 62, of Keyser, WV, died Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at his residence.

Born on April 26, 1961 in Chicago, Illinois, he was a son of Iro Arilla (Smith) Novak of Greenville, Michigan and the late Calvin Coolidge Flowers. He also was preceded in death by his stepfather, Frank Novak and a half brother, Michael Wayne Flowers.

Mr. Flowers was employed as an electrician with IBEW Local # 307, Cumberland, MD. He served in the United States Army from 1980-1991 and was a veteran of Desert Storm serving as a Staff Sergeant and a military policeman. He was an avid hunter, member of the National Rifle Association and was the family historian. He was an intense genealogist, dedicating many hours to the tracing back of his and others family roots.

Surviving are his daughters, Valerie Lynn Flowers of Wellborn, FL, Brianna Marie Flowers and wife Ariana of Bedford, PA, Caitlin Cora Miller and husband Truman of Ridgeley, WV and Emily Jane Flowers of Cumberland, MD; two sisters, Michelle Chatterson and Danielle Quint, both of Michigan; three half sisters, Emma Serrano of Michigan, Randalyn Novak and wife Wen Stites of Michigan and Stephanie Alston and husband Neil of Idaho and three grandchildren, Esperanza "Hope" Flowers, Erika Flowers and Truman Elias Miller.

Services will be held at a later date at the Tri-Town Conservation Club in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
