Bradford Browne of Arlington, Tx, passed away peacefully in his sleep on December 14, 2023 at age 93. He was born on August 30, 1930 in NYC.

Brad honorably served in the Army where he was based in Japan during the Korean Conflict. Upon his return, he worked for Walt Disney where he was responsible for the hiring of the original Mouseketeers, including Annette Funicello. He later attended UT Austin where he earned a BBA degree in Accounting.

Brad's real passion was sports. He spent many years coaching his son, Rick's, baseball teams and was so proud to see Rick rise to play in the College World Series and then pro baseball. Over time Brad worked as a radio sports announcer for many high school teams. There was rarely a day where he didn't share interesting facts about his beloved Texas Rangers. He was still working for the Rangers as he celebrated his 93rd birthday.

Brad loved to tell jokes and stories and delighted in making people smile. He was an encourager to many. He will be missed, but is finally at peace with his creator and savior.

Brad was preceded in death by his parents, Bradford Browne (Radio pioneer) and Margaret Davis, and brother Harry Browne (Presidential candidate).

He is survived by his children Kathy and husband David Hanson, Rick and wife Andrea Browne, 3 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life service will be held January 9 at 10:30 at Wade Funeral Home in Arlington. Graveside service 1:00 p.m. - 1:30 p.m., Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery,

2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, TX 75211
