Elsie Mae (Boyd) Rotenberry, 92, of Bluefield, WV formerly of Welch, WV went home to be with the Lord in her home surrounded by her loving family on Friday, December 5, 2014.
Born January 5, 1922 in Welch, WV, she was the only child of John and Victoria Boyd. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Princeton First Church of God. Elsie loved to travel, was active in the DAV Auxiliary, and enjoyed her time at Claytor Lake with family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Paul Rotenberry, grandson, daughter-in-law Judy Rotenberry and brothers.
She is survived by sons Jerry Rotenberry, Sr.of Pulaski, VA and Kenneth Rotenberry and wife Jane of Blountsville, TN; Sister Elsie (Cookie) Kirk of Ocala, FL; Special niece Donna Mannelin and husband Dean of Ocala, FL; Grandchildren Jerry Rotenberry, Jr. and wife Kathy who devoted much of her time as a loving caregiver, of Bluefield, WV; Christy Rotenberry of Pulaski, VA; Robyn Carter of Gray, TN;
Great-grandchildren Jerry Rotenberry, III, and wife Meagan of Princeton, WV; Rachel Bauer and husband Craig of Princeton, WV; Missy Franklin and husband John of Princeton, WV; Samuel Gregory of Pulaski, VA; Lauren and Jordan Carter of Gray, TN; Great-Great-Grandchildren Abigail Main of Princeton, WV; Elijah Bauer of Princeton, WV; and Jerry IV and Katelyn Rotenberry of Princeton, WV.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, December 7, 2014 at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell, WV at 4:00PM with Pastors Samuel Edgell and John and Missy Franklin officiating. Graveside service will be at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton, WV on Monday, December 8, 2014 at 10:30AM with Pastor Keith Maxwell officiating.
Friends and family will serve as pallbearers. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home on Monday at 10:00AM.
Friends may call on the funeral home Sunday, December 7, 2014 from 3-4 PM at the funeral home.
