Edward John Fink Sr., son of Leonard and Barbara Fink was born on June 8, 1903 at Logan, Kansas. He was presented to the Lord as an infant for holy baptism. Edward was united in holy wedlock to Martha Huskey on April 22, 1931, at the Wolf Creek Lutheran Church, and to this union was born five sons and two daughters.

Edward, known to everyone as "Ed" started at the age of 18, as a blacksmith at his father's farm near Logan. From there he had a shop in Speed for two years. The Family moved to Kensington, where he opened his own shop. Then in 1949, he moved to Agra, and has resided in this community since that time.

He passed away at the Hadley Memorial Hospital, Hays, June 24, 1983, after a brief illness. At the time of his death he was 80 years and 16 days of age. Ed and Martha celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary on April 22, 1983.

He is survived by his wife Martha, five sons: Edward Jr., and his wife, Dorothy, Lewis and wife Carolyn, Agra, Robert, McPherson, Leonard and wife, Wanda, Kensington, and Ralph and wife, Sheila, Phillipsburg; two daughters: Irene (Mrs. Tom Tucker), Fort Smith, Arkansas, and Betty (Mrs. Arthur Davis), Anna, Illinois; 16 grandchildren and four step-grandchildren;
two sisters: Eva (Mrs. Herman Kaiser), Prairie View and Marie (Mrs. Bill Boethin), Logan; a host of relatives and friends. Ed will be deeply missed by his family and a multitude of friends.

May his spirit have joy and fulfillment in the Lord.
Memorial services were held Tuesday, June 28, at 10:30 a. m.in the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel with Carl Rodgers officiating.

Special music was provided by Opal Scanlan and Virginia Munyon. Casket bearers were Dan Losey, Glenn Dennis, Wilbur Chaddock, Max Schick, Calvin Boethin and Wilbur Boethin. Interment was in the Agra Cemetery.
