SHREVEPORT, LA- Nicholas Anthony "Nick" Pedro passed away at home on Friday, July 25, 2008, after a lengthy illness. Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Sunday, July 27, 2008, at Rose-Neath Marshall Street Funeral Home. Services will be at 9:00 a.m., Monday, July 28, 2008, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. Officiating will be Father Pike Thomas of St. Jude Catholic Church. Burial will be at Springhill Cemetery in Ringgold, LA.
Nick was a resident of Shreveport for 96 years. He was a chemist for Atlas Oil Company for 15 years and United Gas/Pennzoil for over 30 years. He was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church.
His parents, Sam and Concetta Pedro; sisters, Margaret Spataro Jorgensen and Sara Viso Bobbin and brothers, Phillip J. Pedro, Nat Pedro and Sam Pedro, preceded Nick in death.
Survivors are his wife of 66 years, Ina L. Pedro of Ringgold, LA; daughter, Constance P. Brouillette of Katy, TX; son, Russell L. Pedro and wife, Dorothy of Shreveport, LA; three grandchildren, Stacey B. Day, Kelley B. Tomasino and Christopher Brouillette; nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Alice P. Kent and Marie Bassett and numerous nieces and nephews.
Honoring Nick as pallbearers will be Taylor Tomasino, Christopher Brouillette, Adrian Day, Phillip Pedro, Dominick Tuminello, Randy Jorgensen, Rusty Spataro and Michael Leppert.
