Yesterday morning at 2:30 o'clock John Bailey passed away at his home in South Cheyenne, of pneumonia, at the age of 36 years. He leaves a wife and a step daughter to mourn his loss. The funeral will occur tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the African Methodist church, Rev. Johnson officiating.
Mr. Bailey was one of the best known and most highly respected colored residents of Cheyenne. He was industrious and a man of exemplary habits, recently occupying the position of city scavenger.
