Ola G. Worsham passed away on Saturday, August 9, 2008 in Sulphur Springs, TX. She was born the daughter of Johnny and Annie Kitts Spencer in Hopkins County on October 24, 1925. She was 82.
Ola worked for the H.D. Lee Company for several years before she opened up a dress shop and went into business for herself. She was of the Baptist faith.
Preceded in death by her parents, she is survived by two sons, Archie B. Worsham and his wife Connie, and John Charles Worsham; two sisters, Mary Bonham and Rose Enix; two brothers, J. W. Spencer and his wife Jackie, and Charles Spencer and his wife Glenna; 3 grandchildren, Amy Cruz, and Ben and Dusty Worsham; 12 great-grandchildren; as well as a host of very special cousins, nieces and nephews. Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, August 12, 2008 at West Oaks Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, August 13, 2008 in the chapel of the funeral home at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Sammy Porter and Rev. Charles Rawlinson, officiating. Pallbearers include: Ben Worsham, Dusty Worsham, Heath Hyde, Jack Moore, Mike Shing, and Keith Shing. Honorary pallbearers are Clint Spencer, Bill Gregg, Jimmy Gregg, and Bill Johnson.
