WARRENTON, Va. - Roy L. Hatcher, 83, of Warrenton died April 21, 1998, in a Virginia hospital after a long illness.
He was born in Pipestem, W.Va., and attended Assembly of God, Marshall. He was a retired Army veteran of World War II and a coal miner with 22 years' service.
Surviving: wife, Grace B.; daughters, Jo Ann Bare of Beckley, W.Va., Betty Humphrey of Cool Ridge, W.Va., Norma Abbott of Vienna; sons, Robert C. Meador of Laurel, Md., Arnold Hatcher of Seabrook, Md.; sister, Dorothy Clemens of Massillon, Ohio; brother, Lonnie of Hinton, W.Va.; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren.
Service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Ronald Meadows Funeral Home, Hinton, with Pastor Richard Abbott officiating. Burial will be in Crews Cemetery, Nimitz, W.Va. Friends may call two hours prior to service at the funeral home.
