Dolphus S. Hatcher
NIMITZ - Dolphus S. "Doc" Hatcher, 80, of Nimitz, Summers County, died May 24, 1997, in Beckley Appalachian Regional Hospital after a long illness.
He was an electrician and a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 872, Beckley, for 33 years. He was a member of Nimitz Missionary Baptist Church, where he served as deacon and Sunday school teacher, and the board of directors of Crews Cemetery, Nimitz, and treasurer of Nimitz-Jumping Branch Senior Citizens.
Surviving: wife, Mildred V. Pack Hatcher; sons, Bob D. of Mount Orab, Ohio, Jackir R. of Crystal River, Fla.; daughter, Mary E. Tinsley of Jumping Branch; sister, Dorothy Clemens of Massillon, Ohio; brothers, Roy Hatcher of Culpeper, Va., Lonnie Hatcher of Hinton; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
Service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Nimitz Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Leo Lambert and the Rev. Donald L. Hannah officiating. Burial will be in Crews Cemetery, Nimitz. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today at Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlor, Hinton.
