Robert A. Dunnam Dies at Houston; Buried at Murray
Robert Alexandra Dunnam, 89, died Thursday night at his home 1250 W. Twenty-second St., in Houston. He had lived in Houston for twenty-six years.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Baptist Temple, of which he was a member, with t. C. Jester officiating. The body was brought to Rockdale for burial in the family plot at Murray cemetery. Rev. Frank Tulloch of the Baptist church conducted the dismissal service.
Before going to Houston to live, Mr. Dunnam had made his home in and near Rockdale for many years and was known to his numerous friends ad Bob Dunnam.
The survivors are five daughters, Mrs. Dolph Dunham, Mrs. W. C. Brown, Mrs. L. J. Hairston, Mrs. Earl Cunningham, Mrs. Bessie Watkins, and a son, Homer Dunnam, all of Houston; two sisters, Mrs. Rena Rister of Houston and Mrs. Mary Spinks of California; brother William Dunnam of San Antonio; a stepson, Walter Wheat of Houston; 17 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
