Leilani C. Jencks, 45, of Suburban Parkway, died yesterday at Kent County Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of Stephen H. Jencks. Born in Yonkers, N.Y. she was the daughter of Margaret R. (Butts) Pierce of East Greenwich, and the late William E. Sherman. She was the step daughter of Benjamin F. Pierce of East Greenwich. She lived in Warwick for most of her life. Mrs. Jencks was a member of the Channel Wonders Club. Besides her husband, mother and stepfather, she leaves two daughters, Margaret L. Jencks and Debra Ann Jencks, both of Warwick, a grandmother, Rita I. Stoddard of West warwick; five brothers, William Sherman Jr.of Centeral Falls, Robert W. SHerman of Johnston, Fred P. Sherman and Michael T. Sherman, both of Warwick and John J Sherman of Coventry. Three sisters; Inez H. Thomas of St. Augustine Fla., Melody S. Lavender of Warwick and Danette D. Jencks-Paulhus of North Providence; four stepbrothers; Merrill C Jencks III of South Kingstown, James E. Jencks of East Greenwich, Arthur V. Jencks of Broken Arrow, Oak., and Daniel P. Jencks of Scituate;three stepsisters, Sheryl Ann Marshall and Teresa J. Fontaine, both of O'brien Fla, and Beverly T. Morrissette of Niceville, Fla. The funeral will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m from the Urquhart-Murphy Funeral Home, 800 Greenwich Ave., Route 5, with a Requiem Eucharist at 11 in St. Mark's Episcopal Church, West Shore Rd. Burial will be in Pawtuxet Memorial Park.
