Lewis Christan Edmond's was born in Dec 1830 to John Augustus Jr and Elisabeth Hoenig Haney.
Lewis was one of seventeen children. His brother Thomas George Washington Edmond's was my great grandfather.
Lewis was a minister and moved to Ohio where he met and married Anna Elizabeth High on February 1st 1856 in Manchester Ohio.

When the civil war started up Lewis along with several of his brothers voluntarily enlisted. Lewis was a commissioned officer with the rank of 2nd lieutenant in the 148th Infantry for Pennsylvania Company D. His enlistment date was Sept 1862 and his muster date was Feb 1863. Lewis made it back from the war and he and Anna settled in Ohio and raised seven children. He continued his ministry. Lewis and Anna were married for 59 years when she passed at age 87 in 1915. Lewis passed in 1918 at age 85.
