Isolde Gerde Ferris, known as "Sue" Ferris, age 67, of Fenton, Michigan, went home to serve the Lord, February 5, 2009 after a 27 month battle with cancer.
Funeral services at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton. Burial in Great Lakes National Cemetery.
The former Isolde Samfass was born May 2, 1941 in Schweinfurt, Germany, the daughter of Karl Samfass and Rosl (Schmidt) Samfass.
She was married to Wayne Elmer Ferris on February 25, 1960 in Germany; he preceded her in death on July 25, 1995.
Surviving were: eight children, Diana and Fred Brueckner, Susanne and Roger Barrier, Sabrinia and John Spencer, Ricarda and Joe Taranto, Wayne Ferris, Robert Ferris, Shayne Ferris, Correy and Marilyn Ferris; six grandsons, five granddaughters, three great-grandsons and a great-granddaughter; sister, Heidi and Aaron Pease, Stephie and Helmut Zufle; brother, Karlheinz Samfass.
She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Eleonore James and Marlane Samfass; grandson, Bradley Barrier.
