June Manwaring Andreasen traded time for eternity on August 16, 1993 following a stroke in Provo, Utah.
Born March 28, 1918 at Naples, Utah, she was a twin daughter of David Elmer and Leona Goodrich Manwaring. She spent her early years in Vernal and Roosevelt/Ballard areas of the Uintah Basin.June loved music and teaching. As one of the "Manwaring Sisters" she and her sisters sang extensively for all occasions. She attended Utah State University on a music scholarship, later attending the LDS Business College.
She was Primary organist, chorister, teacher, and in-service leader, receiving special recognition for teaching 30 years in the Primary. She was an active and faithful member of the LDS Church until illness interfered with her desire and ability to serve.
She was employed for many years by the LDS Church, serving in the offices of the YWMIA, the Improvement Era, the Correlation Dept., and in the offices of Elder Ezra Taft Benson, and as personal correspondence secretary to President Spencer W. Kimball in the office of the First Presidency until her retirement in 1983.
She married Howard DeLoy Andreason on October 1, 1946 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, making their home in Hunter, Utah (West Valley City).
June was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two sisters, Genevieve M. Mangum and Hazel M. Hilbig. She is survived by her son, Kerry Dee Andreasen (wife, Norma), Ely, Nev.; two sisters, her twin, Hope M. (Grant) Williams, Spanish Fork; Venice M. (Elvyn) Bascom, Roosevelt; one brother, Perry (Jean) Manwaring, Clairmont, Calif.; 13 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held at the Hunter 10th LDS Ward Chapel, 5000 W. Pavant, 4980 West 3735 South, in West Valley City, on Wednesday, August 18, 1993, at 12 noon. Friends may call at the chapel one hour prior to the services. Interment will be at Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery, Draper. Funeral services will be under the direction of Walker Mortuary, Spanish Fork.
