Bertrand was the son of the late Rev. Emil and Bertha(Herzer)Baur, he was the second child out of eight children.
Bertrand married Mary Suss in 1888 and they had eight children William and Walter(1887 twins), Royal(1888), Clara(1890), Wanda(1892), Emil(1895), Paul(1897) and Bertrand Jr(1899).
Survivors are four sons Walter, William, Bertrand Jr and Royal; one daughter Wanda; one brother Dr. AC; two sisters Bertha and Wanda.
He died at his home in Bay Port, he suffered a stroke three weeks ago and precious to that was in good heath. He located in the Ora Labora Colony at the age of 19 and later he homesteaded the Baur Farm. In 1918 he moved to Bay Port.
Preceding him in death were his parents; wife Mary; daughter Clara(in 1892 only 1); two sons Paul(in 1898 only 1) and Emil(in 1921 26).
