OBITUARY - Died at her home in this city, on Saturday, July 31, 1909, Mrs. George Duchane, aged 58 years, 4 months and 9 days.

Josephine Piont was born at Mackinaw City, Mich., March 22, 1852. Was married to George Duchane, Sept.10, 1870 at the age of 19 years. Three children were born to this union, one having died in infancy. She leaves a husband, two daughters, two grand-daughters and four brothers, besides other relatives and a host of friends to mourn her death.

Funeral services were held at St. Anthony's Catholic church, Rev. Father Folchi
officiating, interment being at the Newport cemetery.

Joesphine's father, Pierre Plante, was born as Pierre Plante in Canada but his name was changed to Peter Plont by the time he died.
