Adella J. "Del" (Szado) McClosky, 91, passed away peacefully July 28, 2015, at Wingate at Wilbraham Nursing Home. She was born in Thorndike, May 29, 1924, the daughter of the late Joseph and Agnes (Kic) Szado. A lifelong resident of Thorndike, she was graduated from Palmer High School. Del was a communicant of Divine Mercy Parish, serving as Eucharistic Minister and Lector in the church. She was also a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Rosary Sodality, and the Sacred Heart Society. Del was a 32 year employee of the former Ware Knitters, Inc. office, and retired in 1987. She was also a volunteer worker at Palmer Food Share for many years. She was predeceased by her sisters, Mary Slowick, Stacia Towlson, and Helen Gula: her brothers, Ted and John Szado. Del is survived by her husband of 61 years, Theodore F. McClosky; and many nieces and nephews.
