Mrs. Clifford (Myrtle Marie) Dickinson of Freeport Route 3, an employee of Micro Switch until retiring in 1971, was dead on arrival at Freeport Memorial Hospital Thursday night. (The Social Security Death Index gives the date as June 1976.) She was a member of First United Methodist Church. Born February 9, 1907 near Shannon, she was the daughter of William O. and Vinona (Dague) Sturtevant. She was married to Clifford L. Dickinson August 22, 1929 in Galena.

Surviving are her husband; a daughter, June Dickinson Smith of Poynette, Wis.; a son, Clifford L. of Wilmington, Del.; six grandchildren; two brothers, Brice of Eleroy and Albert of Kent; and a sister, Mrs. Erwin (Katie) Plock of German Valley. A brother preceded her in death.

Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Burke – Tubbs Funeral Home. The Rev. Orrell Ruth, pastor of First UM Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. A memorial fund has been established for the radio ministry of the church.
