Frederick E. Butts, 86, of 8272 Locust St., died early Monday morning at Carthage Area Hospital.
Mr. Butts farmed along with his father on Route 177, Lowville, for 21 years. He then moved to Harrisville and opened Butts Construction, which he operated with his two sons until retiring in 1986.
He was a member of Harrisville United Methodist Church and Adirondack Grange.
