MAYODAN - Mrs. Mildred Joyce Gann, 70, of 206 North 3rd Avenue, died Monday, April 20, 1998, at North Carolina Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 22, 1998, at the Beaver Island Baptist Church with burial in the Mayodan Municipal Cemetery.
Mrs. Gann was a lifelong resident of Rockingham County, was a retired employee of the Rockingham County School Systems Food Service Department, was a member of the Beaver Island Baptist Church and a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her father, Raymond R. Joyce and is survived by her husband, Paul Taylor Gann of the home; mother, Mabel Gann Joyce of Mayodan; son and daughter-in-law, Gene and Shelia Gann of Clemmons; brother, Rudolph Joyce of Mayodan; sisters, Elizabeth Haines of NH and Phyllis Joyce of Mayodan; three grandchildren and spouses, Damon T. and Chris Gann of Winston-Salem, Christopher Allan and Gina Gann of Wilmington and Christina Allison Gann of Clemmons.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, April 21, 1998, at the Ray Funeral Home in Madison and all other times, at her residence.
