He was born on Jan. 10, 1925, in Warner, N.H., the son of Ernest G. and Martha V. (Anderson) Haughton.
Mr. Haughton was employed for many years by Pinnacle Ridge Dairy before going to work with David Creed in construction, from which he retired.
Survivors include three sisters, Nellie Howland of Rutland Town, Martha Jordan of Bernardston, Mass., and Grace Johnson of White River Junction; several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife, Marion; three brothers, Ralph, Frank and Burt Haughton; and two sisters, Bertha Haughton and Phyllis Zsido.
There will be no calling hours.
The graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 26, in Cheney Hill Cemetery in Rutland Town.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Barnard Funeral Home in Pittsford.
