Services for Johnnie Mac Booker will be held today at 2 p.m. at Bethany Baptist Church with the Revs. Jimmy Gerrard and W.D. Pigott officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Booker, 71, of Meridian, died Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2009, at his residence. He was a veteran of the Army National Guard, and was also the owner of Bookers Antiques in Whynot.
Survivors include his wife, Melwyn Linton Booker of Meridian; son, Ken Booker and his wife, Nicole, of Clinton; daughter, Rena Ellen Wilkerson and her husband, Steve, of Meridian; five grandchildren, Jonathan Booker, Cameron Booker, Landon Booker, Tara Wilkerson, and Leo Wilkerson.Pallbearers will be Gerald Robinson, Stanley Shannon, Andy Booker, Kelva McRae, Parker Shannon, and Jim McRae.
