Ernest Edward Hodges, 68, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Ralph Allen in Clare, on Saturday, March 15.
Mr. Hodges, a farmer in the vicinity of Beaverton since 1919, was born in Mayville, on January 1, 1879.
Surviving are his wife, Inez; four sons, Cecil, of Beaverton, Bruce, of Midland, Glenn, of Flint, and Gerald, of Clare; four daughters, Mrs. Lottie Wallace, of Omaha,
Nebraska, Mrs. Ralph Allen, of Clare, Mrs. C. D. Premo and Miss Mary Hodges, of Lansing; two brothers, Claud Hodges, of Lachine, and Frank Hodges, of Los Angeles, California; one sister,, Mrs. Lottie Rafferty, of Buffalo, N. Y.; also 16 grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Sunday afternoon at 4 o'clock at the Beaverton Latter Day Saints church with burial in the Beaverton cemetery. Elder B. Doty officiated. Gladwin County Record dated 3-19/1947 Column - 3 Page - 1.
