Mrs. Jennie D Bavin, 57, died early Sunday morning at her home after a three day illness.
She was born, Aug. 29, 1894, in Kalkaska county, the daughter of Grant and Olive (Butler) Wonsey. She attended schools in Kalkaska county and in 1945 moved to Manton, moving to Battle Creek and Mendon in 1951. She married to Earl Bavin on April 12, 1913 and was a member of the Gleaners and Garfield County Grange 1082.
Surviving are her husband Earl of Mendon, three sons, Clinton of East Leroy, Ora of Union City and Earl Jr, of Athens, one daughter, Mrs Emma Seedorff of Battle Creek, her father, Grant Wonsey of Romeo, five sisters Lucy Hall of South Boardman, Ada Dansingburg of Romeo, Alice Vanderbrook of Fife Lake, Olive Gallup of Hastings and Gladys Town of Lake City, two brothers, Phillip Wonsey of Utica and Howard of Romeo, and nine grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday at the Eickhoff Funeral home, Rev. Alvin Finkbeiner officiating. Internment will be made in Union City cemetery.
