Born in Beaver Falls, PA, he moved to Los Angeles in the early 1960s after serving in the Pacific during WWII and attending Penn State on the GI Bill. He became one of the first condo developers in Southern California. His 1964 Rossmoor Townhouses project became a model for multifamily housing. He was a founder of Aero Spacelines, which transported the Saturn V rocket boosters from California to Florida for NASA. When not hard at work as a venture capitalist, Bill loved golfing with his friends at Brentwood Country Club. He was the loving husband to Rachel and the proud father of Marc, Amy & John, as well as the beloved grandfather of Bradley & Brittany Schillinger and Jacob & Brandon Ballon.
