Mrs. S. C. Bean Dies
Oldest Church Member

Funeral services for Mrs. Jennie Alsup Bean, 93, widow of Samuel Crosby Bean, who died at 4:40 o'clock,Wednesday afternoon at a nursing home at 106 Hamilton park, will be held at the W.R. Milward mortuary chapel at 3'o'clock Friday afternoon. The Rev. T.C. Ecton will officiate and burial will be in the Lexington Cemetery.
Mrs. Bean, a native of Lexington, was a daughter of the late John and Harriett Ann Jeeter Watts. She was educated by private tutors and was the oldest member of Calvary Baptist church.
Survivors include three daughters, Miss. Carrie Bean,Mrs. J.L. Barnes and Mrs. Margaret B. Hastings, all of Lexington; two sons,Watts and Burrell of Lexington, and eight grandchildren.
Casket bearers will be Crosby W. Bean,Felmer B. Bean,Sam H. Donnell,Dr. E. Cronley Elliott,Bart N. Peak and John R. Croley.
Honorary bearers will be deacons of Calvary church.
