Tedca L. Baker, 86, of Clyde, died on Wednesday, May 21, 2008 at the Arbors of Clyde.

Mrs. Baker was born in Bowling Green, Ohio on August 16, 1921 to the late Alva Otis and Justine Eva (Smith) Arnold. She graduated from Bowling Green High School in 1939 and then the Bowling Green State University in 1943.

Tedca was a teacher of English, and later the Library Media Specialist for the Clyde-Green Springs Schools. Mrs. Baker was a teacher for 34 years, retiring in 1982 from Clyde-Green Springs Schools, She began her teaching career at Oak Harbor Schools.

She was a member of the Clyde Christian Church; the Ladies of the Church; and had served as the church organist in former years; a member of the Organ Club; Sandusky County Retired Teachers; Kappa Delta Pi and the Clyde Progress Club. During her years at Clyde –Green Springs High School, Mrs. Baker was the choreographer for the Teen Tuners and wrote the words for the Alma Mater for Clyde High School. She served for many years on the Clyde Public Library Board.

She had also given piano lessons and voice lessons for a number of years
