Peacefully at the Trillium Home, Orillia, on Tuesday, November 11th , 2008 in her 89th year, Leona Abbott formerly of Langton, Ont. Wife of the late Harry H. Abbott (1992). Mother of Sheila and Philip (Sharon) all of Orillia. Loving grandmother of Michelle of Toronto, Colin (Erika) of Oakville and Ryan (Sheena Starky) of Vancouver. Sister of Marion Laing (dec'd), Iva Walker of Welland, June Richardson (dec'd) formerly of Orillia, Millie Courage of Welland, Pansy Wilson (dec'd), Marguerite Harrison (dec'd), James Brown (dec'd), Carl Brown (dec'd), Joyce Holldorson of California, Clarence Brown of Fenwick, Maxwell Brown (dec'd) and Faye Skipper of Kitchener. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at Ostrander's Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell St., Tillsonburg, (519) 842-5221. on Monday, November 17, 2008 at 11 a.m. with Major Denis and Major Faye Skipper officiating. Interment of ashes to follow in the Marston Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
