Mary Alice Hastings, 70, of Gloster, died there Jan. 20 2009, at Field Memorial Community Hospital in Centreville.

Visitation is 6 to 9 tonight at Newman Funeral Home in Centreville, and 9 a.m. Friday until services there at 11 a.m. The Rev. Reggie Forman will officiate. Burial will be in Roseland Cemetery.

Mrs. Hastings was born March 16, 1938, in Centreville, to Sidney and Abby Owens.

She was a homemaker and had been a resident of Gloster for 51 years.

Mrs. Hastings was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Katie Lee Hastings.

Survivors include her husband, David Hastings of Gloster; a special daughter-in-law, Michelle Hastings of Gloster; two sons, Billy Joe Hastings and David Richard Hastings and his wife Sandy, all of Gloster; a grandson, Nicholas Hastings of Gloster.

Pallbearers are Billy Derrell Hastings, Charles Ervin, Anthony Lopez Sr., Anthony Lopez Jr., Nicholas Hastings and Allen Wisner.

Honorary pallbearers are Melvin Ratzlaff and Leroy Hansford.
