Mrs. Outsen retired from Limestone School District after 25 years as a bus driver and custodian. She was born Jan. 16, 1935, in Metropolis, the daughter of Charles A. and Opal I. Maess Baker. She enjoyed gardening, traveling and crafts.
Surviving are her husband, Elmer Outsen, whom she married Aug. 13, 1955, in Kankakee; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Robert Allen Outsen of Canyon Lake, Calif., Thomas and Kendra Outsen of Kankakee; two daughters, Tracie Taylor and Cathy Alexander, both of Kankakee; stepmother, Loretta Baker of Reeds Springs, Mo.; one sister, Louise Davis of Hollister, Mo.; four brothers and two sisters-in-law, Michael and Betty Baker and Cletus Guynn, all of St. Anne, Dick and Jan Guinn of Niceville, Fla., Roger Baker of Reeds Springs, Mo.; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Deceased are her stepfather, Wilbur Guynn; and two brothers, Charles Baker and Lester Guynn.
