Lois A. Berry, 84, of 1640 Oakwood Dr., Gladwin, died Monday, July 9, in the Isabella County Medical Care Facility. Born in Holly on September 20, 1894, she lived in Ferndale and Holly for several years until moving to Gladwin County in 1969. Mrs. Berry was a lifetime member of the Ferndale VFW Post 1407 Auxiliary.
The former Lois Church, she was married to Frank Berry on July 7, 1917, in Holly. He preced her in death on January 8, 1975.
Surviving are 3 daughters, Mrs. Leonard (Jean) Lemon and Mrs. Harvy (Audrey) Shooltz of Gladwin and Mrs. Nick (Margot) Peet of Detroit; 17 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Services were held today, Wednesday, at 3 p.m. from the Calvary United Methodist Church in Holly. Burial was in Lakeside Cemetery, Holly. Arrangements were in charge of the Mathews Funeral Home. Gladwin County Record dated 7-11/1979 Column – 5 Page – 2.
