Donna Cartwright, 64, of Hawley, died unexpectedly at home. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles F. Cartwright and Bernice L. Youngcourt Cartwright.


She worked as a fiscal manager for 30 years for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, General Services Department. She was a member of Hawley United Methodist Church.


Donna served on Hawley Borough Council, was president and treasurer of Hawley Ambulance & Rescue, and was a member since 1980. She was passionately committed to the EMT. She was the organizing founder and current caller for Hawley Ambulance Bingo.


Donna also served on the VFW Auxiliary, the Hawley Fire Department Auxiliary, was a Planning Commission member, and was active with the Democratic Committee on both the local and state levels. She was a former member of the Hawley Lioness Club and the Hawley Borough.


She is survived by [various family members] and by her best friend and companion, Bobbie Urich, Hawley.


She was a loving aunt and godmother. She also loved her Dalmatians, Gert and Sam.
