Sunday, February 2 1997 at Genesys- St.Joseph Campus.Funeral services will be held 11AM Wednesday February 5,1997 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel. 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Interment in Evergreen Cemetery.

Family will receive friends at the funeral home 5-9PM Monday and 12-4 and 6-8PM Tuesday. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Heart Association. Mr. Boettcher was born November 14,1929 in Bridgeport,Michigan, the son of Elmer & Helen(Hart) Boettcher and resided in Swartz Creek for the past 29 years, coming from Flint. He was employed by General Motors as a Die Maker & retired from AC Spark Plug,Plant #7 in 1986 after 29 years of service. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict.

Jake married his first wife Mary Helen Solberg on November 29 1952 in Saint Paul,Minnesota ,He married his second wife Barbara Scully on September 30 1960 in Flint, Michigan. He enjoyed coin collecting,hunting,fishing & enjoying his children & grandchildren.

Surviving him are: Wife Barbara Boettcher of Swartz Creek; 3 Sons, Tim Boettcher-Croner of Saint Paul,MN,Gerald Boettcher of Swartz Creek, & James Boettcher of Flint; 1 Daughter Debra and Husband Larry of Swartz Creek.

5 Grandchildren, Lisa & Jenny Croner of Saint Paul,Minnesota , Jamie,Misty & Matthew (papa's little Buddy)of Swartz Creek; Brother, Richard and Wife Eva of Fenton, Harry of Denver,CO & Tom of Hope,MI; many nieces and nephews who loved "Uncle Jake."

A very special thank you to the staff of the I.C.U of Genesys-St. Joseph Campus and to Dr. Bhatti, Dr. Brady & Dr. Broder who gave him such wonderful care over the years. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, 3 sisters & 3 brothers.
