Funeral services for Arthur A (Dell) Farrer, 71, prominent Morgan countian, who died at 1:52 pm Sunday at his home on Bee Line highway, Decatur route 2, will be conducted from the residence at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon by the Rev Ira F Hawkins, pastor of Central Methodist Church, of which Mr Farrer had long been a member. Brown will be in charge of burial at City Cemetery.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs J T Mize, Dayton,Tenn; four sons, Arthur, Jr and Raymond, Decatur; Charles of Little Rock; Tom of Bremen, Ind; two sisters, Mrs C F Lundy, St Petersburg, Fla and Mrs F K Schaffer, Huntingdon, Ind; six brothers, Solon, Ft Wayne, Ind; Bert, Chicago; Henry, Niles, Mich; Charles and George, Benton Harbor, Miss; Oscar, of Covert, Mich and 22 grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be: John Stanley, W O Britain, Matthew Britain, Hugh Davidson, E D Staten and J D Bush.
Mr Farrer who had been in ill health a year, came here in 1889 from Niles, Mich, to make his home. He was widely and favorably known in every part of the county. For a long number of years he was employed by the L & N Railroad Company here, later devoting his interest to agriculture.
