Amos Mason, born in early 1780s in Washington County, New York, married Abiatha Gunn. In an 1840 US census report, he is living in Auburn, Geauga County, Ohio, just a few miles north of Mantua. This is probably the same person. If so, he is a son of Haile Mason (1751-1823) and Hannah Pierce of Fort Ann, Washington County, New York.
