Sherman Newton Case, age 73, of Macon, died on Saturday, July 17, 2010 in a local hospital. Graveside services will be at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, July 21, 2010 in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Rev. Steve Johnson will officiate

Mr. Case was born in 1936 in Richard City, TN to the late Nicholas and Nancy Case. He graduated school in Oak Ridge City, TN and served in the United States Air Force. Mr. Case was employed by Georgia Highway Express/USF for 41 years and was an avid golfer, having being one of the first members at Oak Haven Country Club. He was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Joan M. Case; a daughter, Cathy (Tim) A. Barton of Macon; two sons, Sherman (Kim) A. Case of Macon and John (Tammy) T. Case of Gray; his grandchildren, Kyle and Chelsie Barton of Macon, Brooks and Matt Case of Macon, Kevin and Jessica Denny of Gray, and Nick and Madison Case of Gray as well as one great-grandson, Hayden Denny of Gray.
