MRS. FLORENCE LEMKE

Funeral rites for Mrs. Florence K. Lemke. 57. a former Madison resident until a year ago when she went to Phoenix, AZ, were held Monday in Phoenix (Sunnyslope Funeral Home), and burial was there. Previous information had been that the body would be brought to Madison.

Before leaving Madison, Mrs. Lemke had been a waitress at the Fess Hotel, 123 E. Doty Street, where she also lived. Besides three sons, Donald, 220 N. Orchard St., Eugene, Sun Prairie, and Victor, living in Washington State, she was also survived by two sisters, Mrs. Adolph Sponem, Mt. Horeb, and Mrs. Otto Schaller, Blue Mounds.

(Another son, Marvin Lemke, was killed in WW II. Florence also had one other son, Ladon A. Lemke, whom she abandoned in a children's home saying she would come back for him but she did not. He lives in Wisconsin.)
