The death of David Shankle removes from us one of our oldest and well known residents. His death occurred at the residence of his son, Howard Shankle, with whom he was making his residence. The home is situated on the property of Mr. Dennis Shankle, his son, and is known as the old saw mill. The mill has been removed and will soon be occupied by the stave mill which is now in progress of erection, and will soon be in operation. Formerly the site was used by Mr. Shankle and son, Dennis, for a saw mill. Previously Mr. Shankle operated the mill. At the same time he followed threshing but afterwards quit. Of late years he suffered with bad health......(list of sons and daughters as above)
